The popular sketch and variety show produced by Lorne Michaels has been filling our television airwaves with laughter every Saturday Night. From popular and beloved characters like the Blues Brothers and Wayne and Garth to popular segments like Weekend Update, Saturday Night Live has been one of the biggest staples when it comes to how we laugh at and with the world. Some of the major Hollywood stars had their start from the popular show like Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyers, Tina Fey, Chevy Chase, Eddie Murphy, and even Bill Murray.
And, most episodes began with the usual cold open and a line that most Americans know by heart, "Live from New York, it's Saturday Night!"
